Great authentic African food! This place is a true gem, and I’m glad to have a local spot like this instead of having to drive all the way to Grand Prairie. The flavors are amazing, the food is authentic, and it’s great to have a quality option right in the area. Definitely looking forward to coming back! Olivia and staff are wonderful!

This was my first time having Liberian food and Olivia did not disappoint! Very good flavor and EVERYTHING is made to order. Would definitely come back again if I was in the area to order the Spicy Cassave leaves soup or Oxtails again!
Her food is so fresh with amazing flavors. If you like African food you will love her red snappers, oxtail & potatoes is the best with potatoes leaf on the side with rice. I have tasted most her food and it will not dispointed you. You will go back for more!! Please check her place out!! This a hidden gem.
As a fellow business owner I can understand why it’s said she lacks great service. She is a one woman show. It’s really difficult to find consistent employees. She has introduced me to so many different type of meals and now I return every week or two.
We just tried this place tonight and OMG we will be back soon! Everything was delicious!! We had the beef Egusi Stew w/ Fufu, Jollof Rice w/Goat, an the grilled chicken with fried rice. Would highly recommend everything, ESPECIALLY the jollof rice!!
I had the pleasure of dining at Olivia’s Scratch Kitchen today while visiting Dallas for the Kingdom Agenda Pastors (KAP) Summit with Dr. Tony Evans, and I’m truly glad I stopped here. From the moment I walked in, the hospitality was genuine, attentive, and welcoming. The staff served with excellence, and their kindness made the entire experience feel personal. The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care. Every dish tasted like it was made from scratch with intention, and the quality exceeded my expectations. The service was just as impressive: prompt, warm, and professional. The atmosphere added to the experience as well—clean, comfortable, and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a good meal. As a pastor who travels often, I’ve visited many restaurants, but this one truly stands out. I highly recommend Olivia’s Scratch Kitchen to anyone in the Dallas area or visiting for conferences, ministry events, or simply passing through. You’ll be glad you stopped by.
It's actually CRAZY how good this place is, and honestly, I don't impress that easily these days when it comes to food. I rarely even bother reviewing places normally, but it would have been a crime not to review this one. I had the goat with jollof (and plantains). The plantains were solid—not the absolute best plantains I've ever had but very good. The goat? The goat WAS the best I've ever had. Tender, absolutely bursting with flavor from the spicing, and paired wonderfully with the jollof. The portion was generous, and I'm actually glad it wasn't more so, because there's no way I would have had the self-control not to just consume all of it no matter what. 10/10 will definitely be back!
Drove here from McKinney to see the hype! The hype was well earned. We ordered and got to choose our spice levels, which surprisingly is not offered at every place. Both of us ordered fufu/egusi with goat. There was a plethora of meat in the soup and a big thing of fufu. Portions were excellent, practically two meals in one! She was so sweet and even offered us to try this dough/dip dish. Absolutely phenomenal. Cannot rave about this place enough.
